First round winners, announced for the sensational RPP FM Christmas Hamper ‘giveaway’ is lucky Dromana couple Joan and Neville who visited the studios to receive their basket full of Christmas goodies this week.
Joan, who worked for a radio station in her youth before joining the ‘skies’ as a Flight Attendant said she never wins anything and was thrilled when she heard her name announced on Keith Horner’s program, The Sunnyside of Life on Wednesday.
Neville, who spent many years in the corporate world moved to the Peninsula 18 months ago. After they discovered RPP FM he said, “We have the radio playing in the background all day listening to our favourite programs including Sugar n’ Spice with Bob & Judy, Opera with Antony Ransome & Ron Deane, Ellice Vigger’s Mersey View, German with Wolfie and others. Their radio dial in the car is also set to 98.7FM.
They both concluded saying, “We have lived in different places in Australia and RPP FM is the best local radio we have come across with lots of variety and pleasant to listen to.”
Second lucky winner of the Hamper, announced on The Breakfast Scoop with Pete & Ange on Thursday is ‘long time’ listener Alan Collier of Dandenong North.
Alan, an Account Manager for a timber company travels long distances for business stretching from Colac, Morwell and Geelong and said he can still tune into RPP FM on his car radio adding, “RPP FM is a fabulous station with a broad range of programs.” He enjoys John Fraser’s, Radio As It Used To Be, Sugar n’ Spice, Drive Time with Dennis Gist to name a few.
Our third happy winner is Mornington listener Stephen who was handed his RPP FM Christmas Hamper by 2013 Best New RPP FM Presenter, Jacki Mitchell host of Taking Care of Business.
Stephen was delighted to receive his Hamper saying, “ I listen to RPP FM to keep abreast of local news and what’s happening on the Peninsula and find the programs very informative and entertaining.”
Fourth winner who heard her name announced over the airways on Ellice Vigger’s Mersey View program is a thrilled Michelle of Frankston South.
Michelle said, “RPP FM is going from strength to strength every year and it’s wonderful how the station engages the community, exposing interesting local people who do amazing things.” Michelle explained it has been a tough year, and added, “The station is changing people’s lives on the Peninsula.”
Michelle who owns a business called Covers and Interiors in Frankston South said RPP FM keeps her company in the car and at work listening to programs such as Arts About!, Keith Horner’s program The Sunnyside of Life and German with Wolfie.
Our fifth ‘lucky last’ winners of the Hamper, announced on Mostly Music with John Tinney is Jo’ann and Alan Wood of Mornington who have been listening to RPP FM radio for years at home and in the car. They both enjoy programs such as Drive Time with Dennis Gist and Alan particularly loves the Sports Shows ie, The MPCA Bendigo Bank Cricket Show and The Locker Room. (Their son plays cricket for Mornington).
Jo’ann and Alan love RPP FM and think it’s marvellous.
