It proved to be the event of the year for Peninsula families!

Peninsula Kids held it’s inaugural Family Expo on Sunday at Morning Star Estate, Mt Eliza and many will be spellbound for months to come.

Anna and Fiona of peninsulakids.com.au had a vision for an expo where families could enjoy a fun day without costing ‘the earth’. They were overwhelmed by the number of attendees despite the wintry weather conditions.

RPP FM presenters Bob Phillips and Judy Banks-Phillips did an Outside Broadcast of the Late, Late Brekky Show at the Expo and interviewed stall holders and entertainers which included Sean, the Snake Handler, Katie from Dogs for Kids with Disabilities, Sally from Animals on the Move and Fairy Emma, who came down from her Fairy Tree to talk about life as a fairy!

Johnno, part of the dynamic duo on RPP FM’s radio program, Breakfast with Johnno & Marzy was MC for the day while Marzy sat behind the microphone along side Bob & Judy.

Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles came down to enjoy a day of discovery and fun with their children. They participated in dance, music, arts & crafts, shared and learned ‘fun things’ such as how to grow vegies, handled baby farm animals and shopped for children’s clothes and items. An expo wouldn’t be complete without a giant slide, a jumping castle and facepainters.

A $25 family ticket, purchased online from peninsulakids.com.au provided free access to all activities, rides and entertainment.

Now Anna and Fiona have one event under their belt, you’ll be sure it will be even bigger and better next year.

Hear Anna and Fiona from Peninsula Kids every Tuesday on Breakfast with Johnno & Marzy after 8am when they bring in special guests to talk ‘all things’ kids.
