Island King, written and directed  by local talent Peter Swan is broadcast every Thursday at 5.05pm on RPP FM after making its debut on the eve of Halloween.

Actors including high profile Kate Jenkinson, Andrew Curry, Nick Farnell and Doug Tremlett share a total of 18 characters, each possessing an interesting mix of ‘worldly’ accents.

This Australasian adventure story which was recorded in the BlueScope Performance Studio at RPP FM radio station will have you tuned in each week with anticipation.

The Island King story begins in post-war French Polynesia and takes you on a tumultuous journey of excitement, debauchery and suspense with a series of murder mysteries tossed around on the 80ft ketch Catriona and climaxes in Portsea, with a promise of intensity and emotion.

A huge thank you and appreciation to sound man Steve Meyers, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring life to the story through music, including the theme music he wrote.

You can stream live via our website rppfm.com.au or download our APP, now available for android.

Each episode runs approximately 3- 5 minutes for 13 weeks and is repeated throughout the week.

I urge everyone who is looking for a refreshing change on radio Drive Time to listen and hear what the fuss and excitement is about. IT’S PURE ESCAPISM.
