RPP FM’s good friends, the Bendigo Bank took the opportunity to present a cheque, valued at $3,335.00 to the Mornington Peninsula Disabled Surfers Association (DSAMP) at the Mount Martha Bowls Club AGM this week.
Over 100 golf players including Bendigo Bank customers took to the fairways in a fundraising Golf Day for the DSAMP and was delighted by the number of participants who came along to support the Association.
The funds will be used to purchase more equipment to help assist people with any disability to get in the water and enjoy a safe, surfing experience.
The DSAMP provide disabled members with greater access to local beaches year round and aim to unite local communities, schools and businesses.
The Mornington Peninsula Bendigo Bank Branches are proud to be a major sponsor of the DSAMP and would like to thank their customers for making the day a success. This is a true example where community groups and organizations benefit from the generosity of the community and a community bank working together.
Upcoming DSAMP events held at Point Leo Beach in 2014 include Saturday, 18 January and Saturday, 15 March.
