The breezy, sea air drifted down Ocean Beach Road in Sorrento last Friday evening welcoming local traders and business owners who attended the launch of Balcony @ Continental Hotel.

As excited guests arrived and spilled onto the balcony with a ‘champagne flute’ and canapés in hand, it was obvious they were in awe of the newly renovated venue boosting bay vistas and serene atmosphere.

The inside décor is fresh and crisp giving the space a contemporary WOW quality, mixed with a driftwood ‘beachy’ and rustic feel, harmonized with a neutral colour palette. The new space is architecturally pleasing and cleverly juxtaposed with traditional and new innovation. Double french doors lead to the spacious balcony designed for family and friends to have fun and engage in conversation.

Executive Chef Roberto Capogreco has created a menu inspired by the availability of fresh local produce and can cater for cocktail events, BBQ’s and a ‘long table’ family style experience.

The iconic Continental Hotel promotes and celebrates it’s heritage and surroundings with close proximity to Point Nepean National Park, bay and ocean beaches and historical churches, naturally lending itself to wedding receptions. Cocktail parties, milestone birthdays, functions, product launches and private and corporate events are also catered for.

Balcony @ Continental Hotel is now open every Friday from 5pm offering a new experience on the Peninsula serving tapas, cocktails and ‘cool’ tunes with an inviting seascape backdrop.
