The RPP FM Arts About! program presenters are in raptures with their first Outside Broadcast at the 2013 Somers Arts Fair this Sunday, 27 October.

The motley, yet polished Arts About! crew who claim to know something about art with a certain je ne sais quoi, consisting of presenters Sally, John, Swanny, Donna and Cliff will broadcast their program live to air from the Fair commencing at 11am.

The live Outside Broadcast will also include a Sunday Skankin’ reggae music special presented by RPP FM’s dj Glow, Gossamer Pride who have played in the RPP FM BlueScope Performance Studio recently, will perform their unique ‘music pot’ of gospel, funk, groove and jazz, ‘The Supergroup’ are pumped and will bring their mad musical mayhem to the audience and to finish, our very own Brother Paul Satur will make your hair stand on end and your soul quiver when he introduces Deep Street Soul, an amazing seven piece funk and soul group who will perform on the big stage.

Other entertainment and performances include the Frankston RSL Pipes and Drums, Somers Probus Men’s Choir and the Somers Primary School Choir.

The Somers Arts Fair is one of the Peninsula’s unique events, inspired by diversity and creativity our ‘backyard’ is renowned for. It’s perfect for ‘art aficionados’ mixed with a wonderful country flair and community vibe. Enjoy Creative Art Workshops, exhibitions, mixed media installations, sculptures, a boutique market offering local handcraft, homewares, jewellery and hats, and local gourmet foods and wine, all that the Peninsula celebrates.

The Art Auction commences at 1pm and showcases donated artworks by local artists and the characteristic totem poles designed by artists exclusively for the Somers Arts Fair.

Children are also catered for with traditional family games, rocket launchers, a jumping castle, show bags, a giant bubble blower and more.
