A busy RPP FM commentary team took their Outside Broadcast kit on location once again to provide live coverage of the Nepean League Qualifying and Elimination Final across the weekend.

Jim’s Test & Tag Elimination Final called from Thomas Barclay Oval in Hastings on Sunday by RPP FM commentators Vossy & Nat, hosted an entertaining match between Rosebud and the Pearcedale Panthers with The Buds coming up smelling roses.

The end result on the Bendigo Bank scoreboard at the final siren was Rosebud 14. 8. (92) to Panthers 10. 10. (70).

The Nepean League Elimination Final ends Pearcedale’s hopes for participating in the 2013 Finals season.

With a 7 point difference at half time in Rosebud’s favour, it was hard to separate a winner with both teams showing equal strength and precision around the ground.

RPP FM Best on Ground, courtesy of Hastings Football Social Club was awarded to Rosebud player Ryan Spooner who pushed through with consistent play to get The Buds in to the Semi-Final.

Rosebud now play Frankston Bombers in the 1st Semi-Final in Red Hill next Sunday, 25 August.

Dromana’s Qualifying Final win played Saturday, has earned them a place in the 1st Semi-Final when they go head to head with Sorrento next Saturday 24 August. The RPP FM commentary team will also broadcast this great match starting at 2pm on 98.7 & 98.3FM Frankston.

The Peninsula League Elimination Final will be played at The Pines Ground between Edi-Asp and Mornington on Sunday 25 Aug at 2pm where Vossy and his crew will broadcast all the action live.
