Fans from the YCW Stonecats camp and the Karingal Bull Ring were sitting on the edge of their seats at Jubilee Park on the weekend to see YCW rise to the challenge and win Jim’s Test & Tag, RPP FM Match of the Day.

The final siren score on the Pest Free Scoreboard displayed a 4 point margin, Frankston YCW 12. 9. 81 to Karingal Bulls 11. 11. 77. YCW came from a 2 point deficit in the last minutes to win the match.

The tough consistent play by the Stonecats demonstrate why the team have taken the past three Premiership Flags back to back in the Peninsula League.

Karingal put up a good flight to the end, and at one point of the game were down 24 points but turned the table with a 10 point lead over the Stonecats at three quarter time.

With the dust now settled in the Bullpit, Karingal is out of the top three in the race to take the 2013 Premiership Flag.

Michael ‘Vossy’ Voss & Nath did a terrific job calling the action for RPP FM loyal listeners and Matt Rippon who stands by every week in the commentary box to ensure the live broadcast goes to air without a hitch is true commitment and dedication.

RPP FM Best on Ground, courtesy of Turn Key Homes was awarded to YCW player Lachlan Wallace who received the golden trophy. Lachlan kicked the ball through the centre goal posts in the last minutes of the game to put his team in the Winners Circle.
