High-flying import Manny Hendrix Jnr. plays for the Southern Peninsula Sharks and bounces in to RPP FM studio 1 for Breakfast with Johnno & Marzy every Monday morning to provide the Weekend Basketball Wrap-up.

Hendrix from Salt Lake City, Utah competes in the BIGV Division 1 competition and is quite the celebrity on the Peninsula, raising the profile of local basketball.

He is no stranger to sporting fame as his father Manny Hendrix Snr. was an acclaimed American Football player for the Dallas Cowboys and has had a huge role in developing Manny’s basketball performance and him as a person.

Even though Hendrix Jnr. currently lives his life through his love of basketball, he has strong values on education. He has aligned himself with local schools implementing a reading program and promoting literacy in the community.

The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association is also community focused with a commitment to teaching children and encouraging them to ‘have a go’ at basketball. For more details about the kids program contact Darren Mahoney-Walsh, President & Chief Operations Manager of SPBA on 0402 275 417 or email admin@sharksbasketball.com.au

RPP FM is a proud sponsor of the Southern Peninsula Basketball Association at Hillview Staduim Rosebud, home of the Sharks.
