The Emil Madsen Reserve drew an enthusiastic crowd this week to witness Mount Eliza Red Legs annihilate Seaford Tigers in the Peninsula Football League competition.

Broadcasting live from the RPP FM commentary marquee, commentators Michael ‘Vossy’ Voss and Nat Casterton backed the Red Legs to win because of their confident performance leading up to the Eighth round in the Comp.

The Tigers didn’t get a chance to get their claws out as the ‘Legs’ ran with speed and agility, dominating most of the play to bring the final score on the Pest Free Scoreboard 13 9 (87) to the Tigers 3 14 (32).

Last week’s VCFL Country Championships Best on Ground, Ben Lean kicked the first goal of the day for Mount Eliza and totalled 2 goals for the game, adding to the 55 point win.

This round was big as there were only two games separating both teams with Mount Eliza eighth on the Peninsula Football League Ladder and Tigers, second on the Ladder.

This week’s RPP FM’s Best on Ground, sponsored by Eliza Meats was awarded to Mount Eliza player Rohan Heasley who provided constant midfield drive.
