As the 2013 Peninsula Football League head towards the business end of the competition, the stronger sides are starting to filter through with an upset in the twelfth round when Karingal Bulls charged Mt Eliza Redlegs down the Peninsula League ladder.

RPP Match of the Day, sponsored by Jim’s Test & Tag saw the Raging Bulls, in their own pit, double the score of the Redlegs on the Pest Free Scoreboard 18. 8. 116 to 9. 4. 58.

Commentators Michael ‘Vossy’ Voss (who shares his name with Senior coach of the Brisbane Lions) and Nath Casterton, hollered the action down the mic from the RPP FM marquee.

Interest is building with local punters wondering who will take out the 2013 Premiership with the unpredictability of the top five teams still in contention on the league’s ladder.

This week’s RPP FM Best on Ground, courtesy of RAMS Home Loans Frankston, was awarded to Karingal player David ‘Buddha’ Hirst who was handed the Golden Trophy. Buddha said, “We have won more away games than we have on our own ground so it was a big effort to come out today and attack them hard to win.”

In a couple of weeks Karingal travel to Jubilee Park, home of the Frankston YCW Stonecats, one of the teams that make up the five top.  “We usually struggle down at Frankston,” he added.
