RPP FM is in shock today after pictures have emerged of the organisation’s President hand cuffed and in police custody in Los Angeles.
The RPP Life Member and Jazz Time presenter on the radio station was picked up after spending a day in California with his brother Kev.
Neither Kniese was available for comment – although police transcripts suggested that Graeme Kniese might have been slightly disorientated after being busted by the pair.
In a brief statement the LAPD stated at 11.30am today two Australians, one purporting to be the President of Australia’s best local radio station, were arraigned by a sidewalk patrol.
Arresting officer-Sgt Grace Schlick said the pair went quietly although Graeme Kniese appeared to be smiling and muttering after spending a week in New Orleans at the annual jazz festival.
No charges are expected to be laid.
The brothers Kniese are expected to travel to Germany next week.
A spokesperson for the German Consulate in Anaheim said they would be watching their every move.
