Best on Ground focuses on Panthers player
RPP FM Match of the Day live broadcast, brought to you by Jim’s Test & Tag, provided all the action from Glover Reserve when Devon Meadows Panthers held the Somerville Eagles hostage for most of the game to win the match in the sixth round of the Nepean Football League competition.
RPP FM’s commentary team Andrew ‘Toe Punt’ Kelly and brother Adam ‘Short Pass’ Kelly broadcast one of the most exciting nail biting finishes this season with the final score on the O’Brien Real Estate scoreboard, Panthers 15-14-104 to the Eagles 15-11-101.
An official crowd of 1,398 excited football fans, cheered and booed as they watched the Panthers pace and the Eagles circle their opponents to bring the game to a sensational close.
Jordy King provided match statistics.
The RPP FM Best on Ground, sponsored by Marked Focus was awarded to Devon Meadows player Andrew Oldmeadow who was one of many key players to give the home side their first win of the season.
